In 1986, the owner and founder of HSR Customs, Heinrich du Preez, received his first ever Cobra car in the form of a black and red Hot wheels version. This was love at first sight.
About Us
Ever since that day he has grown his model car collection to over 200 scale models of all sizes.
In 2017 he bought his first Cobra, a 2014 Backdraft Roadster, with a 350 Chevy engine and a 5 speed manual gearbox. This car now runs a aftermarket Chevy 427 with a bowtie performance block, generating around 550hp
Since his first car in 2017, he is now the proud owner of various other Cobras
In 2022 the idea dawned on him that he already employed the correct staff in one of his other motor related businesses to start working on these cars, and in October of that same year the first HSR Customs shop opened its doors in Pretoria, South Africa. Even thou Cobras are the main car on their production line, this company also, as the name suggests, is heavily involved in the customs scene, from building rat and hot rods, to restoring classic cars to their original condition.
